Lalitha Vaidyanathan, Senior Adviser
Lalitha’s role as Senior Adviser to the Stupski Foundation focuses on working across the Foundation’s programs to create sustainable systems change. She began consulting with the Stupski Foundation in 2018 and joined as staff in 2019. Lalitha supports Stupski’s executive team and program staff with program and operations strategy, learning and evaluation, and diversity, equity and inclusion.
Prior to joining the Stupski Foundation, Lalitha was Managing Director at Foundation Strategy Group (FSG), a leading social impact consulting firm. In her over 11 years at FSG, Lalitha held several leadership positions including leading the firm’s India office, San Francisco office, U.S. health practice and the Corporate Shared Value practice. Lalitha led FSG’s intellectual capital development and was a regular speaker on a variety of topics including shared value and corporate social responsibility, collective impact, and racial equity. Her key publications include: “The Competitive Advantage of Racial Equity” and “Breakthroughs in Shared Measurement and Social Impact.” At FSG, Lalitha’s work with clients across several fields shaped how she approached systems change and social impact. Her clients included private foundations like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, corporations such as Symantec and Intuit, health systems including the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and multilateral organizations such as the World Bank and the UN.
Before working in the social impact sector, Lalitha co-founded the venture-backed technology company, SquareTrade and worked as an Associate Consultant for McKinsey & Company.
Lalitha holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.
