Claire Callahan, Director of Communications

Claire is the Director of Communications at the Stupski Foundation responsible for crafting communications strategies for the Foundation and its program areas in the San Francisco Bay Area and Hawaiʻi. She joined the Stupski Foundation in 2016 as Manager and became the Director of Communications in 2019. Previously as Manager, Claire worked with the senior management team to oversee grants management and operations at the Foundation.

Claire’s work in strategic philanthropy began at The Philanthropy Workshop (TPW), a non-profit philanthropy education and networking organization dedicated to driving strategic philanthropic giving worldwide. At TPW, she managed the San Francisco office and was responsible for program support, event planning, knowledge management and member engagement.

Previously Claire worked in civil litigation as a case assistant at Gibson Dunn and Crutcher, LLP. At the firm, Claire coordinated complex trial preparation and litigation casework in international antitrust, intellectual property, and employment discrimination suits.

Claire is fluent in French and holds a B.A. in Law and Society and a Certificate of French Translation from American University.
