Charmaine Ess Kyle, VP

Charmaine joined the Stupski Foundation in early 2016 as Vice President, and is part of the senior management team setting and implementing the grantmaking strategy for the Foundation.

Charmaine previously served as the CEO and Co-Founder of Partners in Scale, a boutique consultancy firm that works with socially-minded organizations in the areas of organizational strategies, scaling practices, and market research assessments.  Charmaine originally began her career in investment banking, working for Goldman Sachs.  Her career in strategic philanthropy started when she joined the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation as their Senior Financial Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.  Before launching Partners in Scale, Charmaine also served as Chief of Strategy at Room to Read, where she was in charge of developing and implementing Room to Read’s program expansion strategy into new countries, including South Africa, Zambia and Bangladesh.

Charmaine speaks five languages; and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Dartmouth College.
